The Details on the Lincoln Park Victorian Powder Room

The Project

This historic Victorian built in 1872 by Charles Wacker was missing one very important thing when my clients moved in—a powder room on the main floor. The goal was to add a powder room that nodded to the architecture of the rest of the home without disturbing the first floor flow.

The Inspo

We didn’t have to look much further than the rest of the home for inspiration on this small but mighty project. When redesigning a historical home, I extensively research the home style and time period to ensure the completed project pays homage to the home’s history while also bringing it into the present moment.

The Client

These clients are bold and refined with great respect for preserving historical details. They love to entertain and plan to start their family in this home, so a small powder room that packs a swift design punch was a must on their main floor.
